Assessing the Impact of Industrial Zones on the Environmental Pollution in Hai Phong’s Coastal Areas, Vietnam

Pollution in the coastal areas negatively affects biochemical indicators of seawater, human health and marine organisms. Hai Phong is a city Vietnam with development socio-economic activities, representing through an increasing number industrial zones. This study to evaluate pollution large zones using numerical models. The simulation (MIKE 21 SW, FM, ECO Lab) models were applied simulate wave propagation, hydraulic regime, water quality area. MIKE Lab model was used sources waste from some aquaculture calibration validation results propagation hydrodynamic resonably good, Nash coefficient ranging 0.65 0.90 percent bias (PBIAS) 5.6% 9.4%. concentration pollutants (DO, BOD5, COD, TSS, Fe, Coliform) 2023 at locations show that TSS concentrations higher than allowable limits stated national technical regulation on surface (QCVN 08:2023/BTNMT) lower 10:2023/BTNMT). outcomes this will provide more information support managers come up better plan for achieve sustainable development.
